Workation: Germany is the world champion of travel fever

Workation is no longer a niche trend. Searches for the term have risen by 13% in 2025, and no country searches for it as often as Germany: 52% of all global workation searches come from here. We analysed 630 cities to find out where work and travel can best be combined. The result: there is no such thing as the perfect workation destination, as it depends on whether you’re an adventurer, a budget-conscious traveller or a pragmatist. That’s exactly why we’ve put together three rankings, one for each type.
