📈 Taiwan's Exports to U.S. Drop in Sept. and Oct. 2024, While Exports to China Climb
In July 2024, Taiwan’s goods exports to the U.S. matched those to China and Hong Kong, driven by rising demand for integrated circuits and data processing units. By October 2024, however, exports to the U.S. had fallen by 24% as demand for AI-related devices softened. In contrast, exports to China and Hong Kong rose by 24%, highlighting diverging demand trends in these key markets.
