📈 EU Trade Surplus with the U.S. vs. Trade Deficit with China

The European Union's goods trade surplus with the U.S. rose by 26.1%, increasing from €157 billion in 2023 to €198 billion in 2024. At the same time, its goods trade deficit with China widened by 2.9%, from €297 billion to €306 billion. Over the longer term, the EU's trade surplus with the U.S. grew by 32% between 2019 and 2024, while its trade deficit with China surged by 85%.
