The Most Deepfaked Public Figures of 2024
Did you know that an AI twin can be created in a few minutes with just 10 seconds of initial footage?
With the U.S. presidential election fast approaching, we partnered with Kapwing to show what’s possible and educate the wider public on the potential dangers surrounding deepfake technology.
First, we rounded up more than 500 famous and popular public figures in American culture, including politicians, actors, athletes, business figures, singers, rappers, YouTubers, streamers and TikTok content creators. Next, we identified the most active Discord channel in the deepfake space (the channel of the text-to-video AI tool Pika AI) and recorded the number of videos requested to the tool that included the name of each public figure. Lastly, we ranked the results to uncover the most commonly targeted public figures by deepfake video creators in 2024.
