Countries with the most data centers in the world

Nvidia announced this week that, for the first time, it will produce AI supercomputers entirely in the US, with factories in Arizona and Texas.
The goal is to invest up to US$500 billion in AI infrastructure over the next 4 years. Blackwell chips have already begun to be manufactured by TSMC in Phoenix, and dozens of “AI factories” are expected to be built – data centers for AI training.
The US currently leads the world in terms of the number of data centers (3,648), followed by Germany (419) and the United Kingdom (412).
Brazil has 170 data centers and ranks 12th in the global ranking. São Paulo alone has 58 – for comparison, South Korea has 65 and Israel, 55.
Due to the expansion of data centers, AI and cryptocurrencies, the forecast for growth in demand for electricity in the world could more than double by 2026, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
Brazil could be a strategic location in this scenario, to receive part of the infrastructure investments in the coming years, given the high availability of resources to generate renewable energy.
