📈 Europe's Stock Market Cap Declines to $17.7 Trillion in Q3 2024, Down from $21 Trillion in 2021
Europe’s stock market capitalization grew significantly, rising from $6.6 trillion in 2001 to $16 trillion by Q3 2007. However, the 2008 Global Financial Crisis caused a sharp decline, cutting market capitalization by more than half. After a steady recovery, Europe’s stock market reached a peak of $21 trillion in Q3 2021, before declining to $17.7 trillion in Q3 2024.
